I’ve decided to abandon Rhaphsody.

In RPG Maker 2003.

For now on, I’ll be using Game Maker instead. It looks promising and simple so far. I’ll need to see how it turns out, but I’m optimistic.

Also, you should totally follow my personal account : http://www.MapleInu.tumblr.com

For future reference I do not ask or send messages anonymously, as I prefer to keep my reputation no matter how bad the comment might be in the future. My personal blog is gutsygumshoe and is the handle I use when asking questions outside of this devblog.

Please do not assume anything anonymous you read on uboachan or in your devblog inbox is me. :]

I AM AN INNOCENT MAN

asks:
Ahah that wasn't me from earlier. I never ask anonymously so please don't assume I would, all right? I just woke up from a nap and found that on my dash, goodness gracious.

Well, some more advice: don't expect others to make your game for you. Don't ever assume that people will easily help you out with it, since games take a lot of time and effort to make and it's not like people that don't know you will jump in and help all of a sudden. I'm not trying to discourage you, far from - just keep this in mind. I believe in you, though, and I'll be sure to follow this blog to see where the game goes.

Hi bleet.

I honestly don’t expect people to jump into it. I’m only putting it out there so some people will know that the opportunity is there. What I would like people to do for me is just chipsets, BGM and art-y things. Truth is, I’m really bad at audio editing and digital art that isn’t made entirely out of square pixels. Other than that, just programming help, I guess. I would do anything to get this project going.

I advice to not post your game on the fangames Wiki or on Uboachan until you have at least a few worlds done and a demo release is soon or already there. Putting fangames there that barely have any content when you do so aren't usually taken seriously.

I wasn’t going to do it myself anyway, I was waiting for someone to do it for me.

So that means I need to start editing chipsets and textures. This is one of the bigger reasons why I wanted others to collaborate on the game; I’m terrible at that stuff.

I drew this portrait of Yuri along with the 6 confirmed effects. So, now we can all know what she looks like. Have I told you that she’s cute and pretty ect.?
Anyway, it’s littered with impossible to read notes, so I’ll type them all down.
Yuri - right eye light blue ; left eye gold ; panda hair clip ; windsor-knot white tie ; grey in hair is shading, not actual grey hairs ; bleach white hair, length to her bottom, before her legs ; sleeves reach mid-forearm ; businessy suit-type shirt, all dressed up with nowhere to go ; short black socks, formal shoes ; pants where?
Bunny effect - bunny hair clip ; CUTE ; action=hop ; cottontail
Track effect - white + red track shirt ; doubles walking speed ; action=jumping jacks ; silly red shorts ; white shoes, red soles
Negative effect - color-film negative Yuri ; no action ; kind of looks disembodied and creepy
Panda Hat effect - action= <3 ~
Axe effect - weapon ; large axe - if taken, substitute flail ; action=kill NPC/change grip ; yellow plastic handle
Firefly effect - firefly hair clip ; action=light dark areas ; abdomen glows green when active
Feel free to respond, repost, whatever.

Also, I think I need an Uboachan thread, but I’m too afraid of imageboards. I’m hesitant to make a page on the Fangames Wiki, too. ; _____ ;

Which RPG Maker version will you use? RPG Maker 2003? Or will you use an entirely different engine altogether?

It’s being made in RPG Maker 2003.

asks:
How long is your game going to be? How many effects are you going to code? Is this going to be just another Yume Nikki fangame? Please respond.

I don’t know about actual length yet. I would like it to be pretty long.

Right now, there are 6 confirmed effects that are going in the game. I’m still trying to get ideas. The game should have 16-25 effects at version .10.

I don’t know why you put a ‘just’ there. Are you saying that there were bad games?

asks:
Very nice, didn't know this was going to be a YN type game. I must say I am really looking forward to it, though unfortunately I know of nothing I could help you with the development. ;_; but good luck!

not sure if should follow because ponies

That’s fine, Dusty. But honestly, it’s going to be a really, really long time until this will be ready for a release. I wanted help (a bunch of help) because I’m not familiar with RPGMaker 2003. As a plus, getting collaborational help will give a lot of people a part in the project, which could make a lot of attention and appeal, and improve the general game quality and release time. I’m confident about this game, and I refuse for it to never be released.
